It’s been a rainy, chilly spring, for the most part. Not necessarily bad for making images, but not great in terms of fostering inspiration. When you’re already short on inspiration – and time – it gets difficult to drag yourself out of the house for the few free moments you do have. The weather finally seems to be settling, so perhaps my enthusiasm will return with the warmth and sunshine… and maybe, just maybe I’ll have more than a few free minutes to explore and create. I have so many ideas…
Have a great weekend.
Remember, the earth doesn’t really need saving – it’ll outlast us all, regardless of how badly we mess it up. What requires saving is the environment that sustains life on earth. If we save that, we save ourselves. Nothing matters, not jobs, not the economy, nor any of the other things people argue over, without clean air, clean water and clean soil.
So much has happened, so much still ahead. Still caring for my mom, who is struggling with multiple health issues. Got out and shot a little bit yesterday, the first time in ages. Lots of rust, but it was fun and rejuvenating to be out in nature. I don’t know when I’ll be back to a regular posting schedule, but for now I’m going to attempt to be a semi-regular blogger. What does that mean? Not sure… once a week, twice a week… more… less… we’ll see how it goes. If you’re still following along, thank you.
Long time no see. The last few months have been… well, I’m not sure I have the words to describe them. If I’ve learned one thing during this period, it’s that you should always get a second medical opinion. Doctors are not infallible, unfortunately. Had my mom not sought a second opinion, right now she would have thought she was on the road to recovery, when in fact she would have been on a very different road. With a little luck, she will indeed be on the road to recovery in a few months. If so, that would be the greatest Christmas gift I could ever receive.
I haven’t had many opportunities to shoot during this period, as you might guess. But I did want to share with you the few images I was able to make. Mostly though, I wanted to wish you all happy holidays. I hope you have a healthy, happy, prosperous new year. As always, thanks for following along.
My mom’s health scare has turned out to be more than just a scare. It’s going to require surgery, and at least six weeks of treatment. We’re hopeful that she’ll get through this, and return to good health in the not too distant future. In the meantime, postings will continue to be scarce. Once again, thanks for your understanding.
As quiet as things have been around here lately, they may get quieter still. My mom is having a bit of a health scare at the moment, and we need to get her health sorted out before I can return to posting on a regular basis. Haven’t been out shooting much, and I don’t expect to be for at least another week. I hope you all understand, and that you’ll hang in there with me. Thanks.
