Oak in summer

Good high ISO performance isn’t just important in low light. The winds were strong and gusty when I was creating this image, and the leaves were whipping around furiously. Even when the wind would subside for a second or two, there was still movement. The only way to create a sharp image was to “freeze” the movement with a very high shutter speed. The only method of achieving a high enough shutter speed was to increase the ISO.
